The softly faded terracotta ground is detailed with hand-worked geometric motifs in turquoise, ochre, ivory, green and black. A delicate turquoise border frames the composition, while hand-finished ivory fringe completes each end.

Look closely and you'll see what makes the piece special: subtle shifts in the weave, irregularities in the embroidered motifs, variations in color and small traces of the maker's hand. These are not flaws to be corrected—they are part of the character of a textile created individually rather than by machine.
